Swine Flu has hit Loyola :-/
There are only two known cases of Swine Flu in Illinois. One is in the same neighborhood as Loyola north campus (Rogers Park) and the other is from the Loyola north campus.
I've had a pretty sore throat ache since last night and have been fatigued but I just had 3 really long, demanding days of finals and now will be studying most of the night for my next final. I'm sure it's just my body pitching a fit at me. Plus, I'm still okay enough to dance around to Britney Spears in between reading chapters lol so rest assured for now.

Summer's almost here!
I knocked out my first three finals and my last papers that were due and only have two more left (tomorrow and Monday). Summer is so close!
I'm still working with financial aid to maybe be able to take 2 classes because if not I cannot get work study for the summer and take that web design internship. I'm currently playing e-mail tag with financial aid and the woman that offered me the internship, so who knows where that's going to end up.
I got all the classes I wanted for the fall and even managed to get Fridays off! I'm taking 6 classes (a full load) with 2 evening classes, 2 night class, 1 Tuesday/Thursday class and 1 Monday/Wednesday class. My earliest class is 11:30am which will be very nice haha.
I found a used bike (and bike lock!) for $35 and will be picking it up before work Friday. My U-Pass for the CTA expires Tuesday so this will help a lot to save money and save me from taking the El every day to work.

Last day of classes!
Today was the last day of classes for me. It was so beautiful out and my first class lasted maybe 15 minutes and then during my second class we just ate cookies/cupcakes and listened to Italian songs (you can guess which class this was lol).
In between classes the student government was holding a pre-finals event that offered coloring (you know I was on that!), free sunglasses, free starbucks, free berry chill (frozen yogurt), and free manicures and massages. I took advantage of everything but the starbucks since it was so hot out. I know, you are all very disappointed in me.
This weekend I will be studying, studying, studying. I'm taking my first 2 finals online over the weekend to get them out of the way then I have 3 others (Tuesday, Thursday, then next Monday). Luckily, Italian is last because I have to study the most for that one.
Once finals are done my roommates will be gone and I'll be getting 3 new ones. I've already contacted them and they seem cool. One might not stay so if she doesn't I'm claiming a whole bedroom to myself haha. Or at least I'll try.
Next Friday I'm meeting with another Loyola student to test ride a mountain bike she's selling. Since the school does not offer a U-Pass (for the CTA) or shuttle services during the summer I'm getting a bike to take to and from the north campus for work. So hopefully that all goes well and I'll be able to get it that day. Other than that all my money will be going to dues and food. I've heard Trader Joe's has cheap food (and it's organic/healthy so Narnia will be happy...). I'll definitely be shopping around for the best deals haha.
I'll keep you guys updated on here throughout the summer. Once I find the pictures I took of my dorm when I moved in (hasn't changed except to get messier lol) I'll put them up here.

Formal was last Friday at the Hardrock Hotel on N. Michigan Ave. Since it was at the Hardrock Hotel, the them was of course "I Love Rock n Roll."
Every girl receives an award at formal and mine this year was "Cutest little sister and future Phi Sig." We also had funky blue martini glasses with "Phi Sigma Sigma Formal 2009" printed on it above a blue guitar.
